How to help the homeless in Fort Worth

CURRENT NEEDS & OUR WISHLIST

THINGS WE DO ACCEPT:

Make It A Home Program: CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING

  • New & Gently Used Furniture - living room, dining tables, bedroom sets (VERY GENTLY USED ONLY & NO king size).

  • New & Gently Used Kitchen items: microwaves (countertop models only), toasters, working/complete coffee makers, silverware, cooking utensils, cutting boards, pots & pans, cookie sheets, kitchen & bathroom garbage cans (new only).

  • New & Gently Used Linens - sheet sets, towels, bath mats (all sizes), pillows (new only).

  • Gently Used Electronics - flat screen tv's (26" - 50"), microwave ovens, DVD players, stereo receivers and speakers.

  • New Cleaning Supplies - brooms, dustpans, mops, laundry pods (Pods only), dishwasher tablets, toilet bowl cleaner, cleaning agents (comet, dish detergent, Lysol), sanitizing wipes, etc.

  • Paper Products - toilet paper, paper towels.

Homeless Outreach:

  • Travel Size Personal Hygiene - toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, body soap (liquid only), shampoo, shaving cream, razors.

  • Winter Coats (adult only) - Gently Used or New.

  • Hats (toboggans/beanie’s) & Gloves - New Only.

  • Prepackaged Food - peanut butter crackers, chips, cookies, fruit snacks, Vienna sausages, slim Jim's, etc.

  • Bottled Water - ALWAYS A NEED #HydrateTheHomeless.

  • Ziploc Bags - Quart & Gallon Sizes (we go through thousands a year).

  • Currently, NO clothing is accepted (check back with us)

  • King Size beds or Large Oversized Furniture

  • Stained/Dirty/Old Mattresses

  • Sofa Sleepers

  • Large Dinette Sets & China Hutches

  • Large Entertainment Centers & Sectionals

  • Old Tube Televisions/Big Screen TV's

  • Used Underwear & Socks

  • Broken Appliances

  • Broken Electronics

  • Broken Furniture

  • Stained Furniture/Bedding

  • Heavily Used/Worn Pots, Pans, Skillets

  • Torn/Ripped/Pet Damaged Furniture

  • Large Desks/Executive Desks

  • Torn, Stained, Dirty Clothing

  • Broken Bicycles

  • Any items missing parts/pieces

  • Tents & Sleeping Bags (we refer these to partner organizations)

Property 2 - We are seeking a 2-4 bay automotive repair facility to support our Rides for Hope Program. It would be used to teach men & women basic automotive repairs, maintenance, and make-ready. It would also be used to provide free and/or low-cost auto repairs for single parents.

Capital Fund $540,615.00 to complete 2024/2025 Dream Center Warehouse/HUB (includes operating budget).

Concrete Sponsor - ($40,000). Our parking lot needs to be replaced.

Property 1 - We are seeking property for a resale/thrift shop for our sustainability Plan.
